OFFICE OF THE JOINT DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE

BLOCK A, 5TH FLOOR, KENDRIYA BHAVAN, KAKKANAD, KOCHI 682037

TRADE NOTICE No.5  DATED  08.03.2012

All members of trade and industry are requested to note that for discharge of Export Obligation and for issuance of Redemption Certificate, an applicant/licence holder submits drafted No Bond Certificate giving details of export shipments made with shipping bill numbers.  Recently, it has been observed that most of the licence holders also endorse the condition “ BEFORE DISCHARGING THE BG/LUT AGAINST THE ABOVE ADVANCE LICENCE, THE CUSTOMS SHALL VERIFY THAT THE DETAILS OF THE EXPORTS AS GIVEN ABOVE ARE AS PER THEIR RECORDS”. Now it has been decided as a measure of reducing transaction cost and time that this condition should not be endorsed on No Bond Certificates furnished along with EODC/Redemption application.

A copy of format for No Bond Certificate as detailed above is also attached herewith for your reference.
